What it checks
Buyers ask AI assistants what to use before they ever search for your name. If the answer lists three products and yours is not one of them, that buyer never reaches your site.
The checker reads your homepage and writes the question a buyer who has never heard of you would ask, never naming your product. It asks that question of ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI Mode, then reads each answer: does it mention your brand or domain, or cite a page on your site? Each answer comes back with the sentence that names you, or the other brands it named instead.
No account is needed. The same site checked again within a day gets the same answers back.

- Whether AI assistants name your product when someone asks them for a recommendation. When a buyer asks ChatGPT for the best tool for their problem, the answer lists a handful of products. AI visibility is whether yours is one of them.
- How does the checker decide if I am named?
- It counts you as named when an answer mentions your brand as a word, mentions your domain, or cites a page on your domain as a source. The brand it looks for comes from your homepage: the site name it declares, else the start of its title.
- Why does ChatGPT name my competitors and not me?
- AI answers lean on what the web already says about a category: pages that rank for the question, lists of the best tools, threads where people compare options, directories. A product those sources never mention is rarely named. The brands listed under each answer show you who those sources point to today.
- Will I get the same answer if I check again?
- Not always. AI answers vary from one run to the next, so one question asked once is a snapshot. The same site checked again within a day gets the same result back; a reliable picture takes several questions, asked several times on each engine.
